How GeniusRealty makes money

The short version

GeniusRealty is free to use. Today, the site earns money from display advertising only (the labeled ad slots on calculator and guide pages). No partner, lead, or affiliate revenue exists yet: the partner programs we have applied to (insurance and lender-marketplace partners) are pending, and until one is approved there is no partner money on this site and no partner links either.

Where money comes from — and where it doesn't

• Display advertising (active). Labeled “Advertisement” slots served by our ad partner. Ads are context-only; advertisers have no say in content, and no ad appears inside a calculator's inputs or results.
• Partner links (applied for, none approved). Applications with insurance carriers and rate-shopping marketplaces are in progress. If any is approved, its link will be labeled “Partner” at the point of use, carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" link attributes, and sit under a disclosure box on the same screen. Until then the partner slots render nothing.
• Lead sales: never. We don't sell contact information, run lead forms, or get paid for referrals of your details — there is no contact information to sell (the privacy policy covers why).
• Paid calculator placements: never. No lender or insurer can pay to change a default, a result, or a ranking. There is nothing to buy on this site.

How this is kept honest

Every page that carries or could carry a commercial slot shows the disclosure at the point of use — not only in the footer. The numbers themselves are the same whether or not a partner ever exists: every calculator figure is formula output from the cited sources on each page (the methodology explains where each default comes from), and no compensation arrangement can change an input, an output, or a verdict. When a partner program goes live, this page is updated the same day — with the partner's name and the label you'll see.
